About the Site

Twin Cities Envision Site

The Twin Cities has become home to many displaced people groups. 1 out of 5 people in the Twin Cities were not born in the United States and 1 out of 3 people in the Twin Cities are first or second-generation immigrants. In 2015-2016, there were many refugees who arrived in Minnesota from Somalia, Burma, Iraq, Ethiopia, Bhutan, Congo, Ukraine, Syria, Liberia, the former Soviet Union, and more. St. Paul holds the largest Hmong, Karen, Somali, and Liberian communities in the United States. New arrivals continue to come from places like Afghanistan and Ukraine.

The purpose of Envision Twin Cities is β€œTo create environments and partnerships that transform and empower refugees and other immigrants.” We want to assist the local church in building relationships with refugees and other immigrants through meeting their wholistic needs.
